Guest lecture on Robotics & Automation

Aiming to provide intense training for 3rd and 5th semester students of Department of Electrical and Electronics, a one-day guest lecture on ‘Robotics and Automation’ by Axis Global Institute of Industrial Training (AGIIT) held during 6th September 2019, at New Horizon College of Engineering. Department of Electrical and Electronics NHCE hosted the event. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ramkumar S, Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics spoke about the importance of industrial training, exposure of students to real work life situations and to equip them with the necessary skills that intensify their job acumen as well as making them industry ready which is parallelly as important as academics. He further introduced us to Mr. Gopi who was from AGIIT, Jayanagar, Bangalore.
Mr. Gopi started the guest lecture by introducing us about the group of companies under AGIIT and various branches of it all across the world. Further he explained us about the various advantages and future scope and demand in the field of Robotics and Automation. He then exposed us to various software related to this field such as HMI, PLC, Scada, etc. We were introduced to robotic equipment as well as relays and many more. The event was basically designed to bring everyone into the world of robotics and automation. Students from both 3rd and 5th semester were present in this event. Prof. Joshua, Assistant Professor Dept. of EEE concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
