We feel proud to have the IEEE Nanotechnology Council (IEEE NANO), which is one of the fastest progressing and promising technical societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru initiated and actively started IEEE NANO NHCE Student Branch Chapter on 21.01.2025.
Objectives:
The IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC) is a multi-disciplinary group whose purpose is to advance and coordinate work in the field of Nanotechnology carried out throughout the IEEE in scientific, literary and educational areas. The Council supports the theory, design, and development of nanotechnology and its scientific, engineering, and industrial applications.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering received Petition Approval Letter from IEEE Member and Geographic Activities USA to start the IEEE Nanotechnology Council NHCE Student Branch Chapter on 21st January 2025. The effective date of this Student Branch Chapter formation is January 21, 2025 and Geo Code is SBC66131J. Currently 18 IEEE NANO Members are active in this chapter of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department.
The IEEE Nanotechnology Council SBC is to advance and coordinate work in the field of Nanotechnology carried out throughout the IEEE in scientific, literary and educational areas. The Council supports the theory, design, and development of nanotechnology and its scientific, engineering, and industrial applications.
- Initiate Industrial lecture talks
- Invite Professors of excellence for sharing experiences and research results
- Industrial tours to companies in close vicinity
- Brainstorming session on “Entrepreneurship and Academia”.
- Workshop, Symposium, Project Design Contest to the students
- Promotes the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electro- and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession
