CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Industrial Visit to Rakon India Pvt Ltd
The sixth-semester EEE students visited Rakon India Pvt. Ltd., Devanahalli, on 3rd March 2026. The visit was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with the IEEE DEIS Student Branch Chapter.
During the visit, students received an overview of Rakon’s global presence and its expertise in high-precision frequency control solutions. Engineers introduced the manufacturing processes of crystal oscillators, quartz crystals, and timing modules.
The team guided students through the crystal fabrication unit, allowing them to observe quartz processing for accurate frequency generation. In the assembly section, students saw how oscillators, resonators, and timing modules are integrated. The testing and calibration laboratories demonstrated frequency stability evaluation and temperature-based reliability testing.
Industry experts emphasised the importance of precision and cleanroom standards in electronic manufacturing. Students also learned about advanced quality assurance and industrial validation procedures. The visit offered insights into aerospace-grade electronic components, helping bridge theoretical concepts with real-world engineering applications.
Overall, the industrial interaction significantly enhanced students’ understanding of microelectronics, automation, and high-reliability electronic systems.
