Expert lecture on Advancement in Electric Vehicles with Artificial Intelligence in the Automotive Domain

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organised an expert lecture on “Advancement in Electric Vehicles with Artificial Intelligence in the Automotive Domain” on 31 March 2026 for 6th-semester students. The session was delivered by Mr Ojaswit Gautam, Automotive Software Engineer at Brigosha Technology Pvt. Ltd., who introduced students to electric vehicle architecture and explained how Artificial Intelligence is accelerating innovation across the EV ecosystem.

He highlighted the role of intelligent Battery Management Systems, machine learning-based energy optimisation, AI-enabled autonomous driving, predictive maintenance, and smart vehicle systems. The importance of smart charging infrastructure and efficient grid integration was also emphasised.

Real-world applications such as AI-based route optimisation, fleet management analytics, and predictive fault detection, including live battery life estimation, were demonstrated with industry examples. The session also exposed students to advanced technologies such as ADAS and AI-driven self-driving models used in modern automotive platforms.

Students actively engaged with the lecture and developed a deeper understanding of sustainable mobility and green transportation technologies. They gained insights into how AI is transforming electric mobility and explored emerging research and career opportunities in EV software, intelligent systems, and autonomous technologies.

Overall, the lecture was highly informative and effectively connected academic learning with cutting-edge industry advancements, inspiring students to contribute to the future of intelligent electric transportation.
