Green Canvas Poster Making Competition 2026
The Green Energy Club, under the aegis of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, successfully organised the “Green Canvas” poster-making competition from 22 to 24 April 2026 at the Schneider Lab. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 120 internal participants exclusively from New Horizon College of Engineering.
The competition aimed to blend creativity with social responsibility by encouraging students to design posters conveying strong and meaningful environmental messages. Participants utilised colours, slogans, illustrations, and innovative concepts to visually communicate important ecological concerns. The event emphasised not only artistic expression but also awareness and understanding of real-world environmental challenges.
Students were encouraged to critically analyse current ecological issues and present thoughtful solutions through their artwork. “Green Canvas” served as a platform for transforming creative ideas into impactful visual campaigns capable of creating a positive influence on society. Each participant presented and explained their poster, highlighting the significance of the selected theme and the solutions proposed.
The event fostered creativity, innovation, and critical thinking among students. Posters were evaluated by judges based on originality, clarity of message, relevance to the theme, and presentation skills. The competition also promoted healthy competition while reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility. Overall, the activity successfully spread environmental awareness and enhanced students’ communication, visualisation, and expressive skills.
