CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) organised an industrial visit to TÜV Rheinland India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, on 8th October 2026 for seventh-semester EEE students of Section B. The visit was conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the organisation’s facility in Electronics City Phase IV, Bengaluru Rural. The primary objective was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial testing, inspection, quality assurance and certification processes.

TÜV Rheinland, an internationally recognised organisation, introduced students to the significance of testing and certification in ensuring product safety, reliability and compliance with technical standards. The visit helped students understand the application of electrical engineering principles in industrial environments. Students gained insights into standardised testing procedures and the evaluation of electrical and electronic products.

The programme highlighted the importance of electrical safety, quality management and regulatory compliance in industrial operations. Interaction with industry professionals enabled students to appreciate the practical challenges involved in product testing and certification. The visit also familiarised students with industrial standards and their role in maintaining product quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Students were introduced to potential career opportunities in testing laboratories, quality assurance, certification, product development and industrial engineering. The experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional engineering practices.

Overall, the industrial visit enriched students’ learning experience and strengthened their understanding of the importance of safety, quality and reliability in electrical and electronic engineering applications.
