Industrial Visit (4th Semester Section A) - TUV Rheinland India Pvt. Ltd
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in collaboration with the IEEE NHCE Student Branch and the IEEE DEIS Student Branch Chapter, organised an industrial visit for 4th Semester EEE students of Section A on 2nd April 2026. The visit was held at TUV Rheinland India Pvt. Ltd., Electronic City Phase IV, Bengaluru, from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Its primary objective was to provide students with hands-on exposure to industrial testing, inspection, and certification processes in the field of electrical and electronic equipment.
TUV Rheinland, a globally reputed testing and certification organisation, introduced students to its crucial role in ensuring product safety, quality assurance, and compliance with international standards. The visit commenced with an introductory session outlining the organisation’s global operations and diverse service offerings. Experts delivered an informative presentation on product safety testing, electrical insulation testing, and certification procedures. Students also gained valuable insights into the various international safety and quality standards followed in the electrical industry.
A guided tour of the testing laboratories enabled students to observe advanced testing facilities and precision measurement systems. Engineers demonstrated testing procedures carried out under different environmental and operational conditions to ensure product reliability and safety. Students actively interacted with industry experts and clarified their queries related to testing practices and industrial applications.
The visit significantly enhanced students’ understanding of quality assurance and highlighted the importance of certification in Electrical Engineering. Overall, the industrial visit proved to be highly informative and effectively bridged the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial practices.
