About the company: Hot Line Training centre (HLTC) located at Bengaluru, is the oldest institute under NATIONAL POWER TRAINING INSTITUTE(NPTI). It is the only one of it’s kind in South Asia.Established in 1958,training at HLTC enables trained personnel to attend to maintenance works on Transmission Lines and Switch Yards without power interruption. Since its inception HLTC had trained more than 3000 personnel including participants from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in the field of LIVE LINE MAINTAINANCE TECHNIQUES(LLMT).

HLTC includes REC Quality Trainee, CEA & BEE, Laboratories/workshops, Various aspects of power station,75 training manuals, more than 55 multimedia CBT, Audio visual aid, Open learning centre(OLC), NCVT (ITI COURSES), ITI level mining training.

The main scope of area includes LIVE LINE MAINTAINANCE , HIGH VOLTAGE Transmission lines like 110KV, 220kv Transmission Lines and towers,400kv Transmission Lines and towers and Receiving substation.

Visiting Report: Totally 56 students and 4 faculty members visited the Plant. Students were taken into the experimental field and showed the highvoltage transmission lines and towers and were explained about it in detail including live line maintenance method. Students were benefited with this industrial visit since they could can see all the components lively and maintenance as well.
