INDUSTRY ACADEMIA CONCLAVE- IEEE PES SBC NHCE AND BMSCE
The IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter (SBC) Industry–Academia Conclave was organised at BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, on 12th September 2026 in association with IEEE PES SBC, New Horizon College of Engineering. The conclave provided a valuable platform for students and faculty to interact with academicians and industry experts and gain insights into emerging technologies.
The event focused on strengthening Industry–Academia collaboration and enhancing awareness of current industry trends and career opportunities. Participants explored the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in engineering, power, and energy-related applications. Expert sessions highlighted the significance of interdisciplinary skills, digital technologies, and continuous innovation in modern engineering practice.
Students gained an understanding of practical approaches to developing AI-enabled solutions for real-world problems. The programme demonstrated how AI tools can simplify application development and reduce coding complexity. Participants were also introduced to the process of transforming innovative ideas into functional AI-driven application prototypes.
A panel discussion featuring industry professionals provided valuable perspectives on industry expectations, technological advancements, and future career pathways. The workshop enhanced students’ confidence in utilising AI-based tools and technologies for application development. It also emphasised the importance of continuous learning, professional networking, and industry engagement for career growth.
Overall, the conclave successfully enriched participants with industry-oriented knowledge, practical exposure, and a deeper understanding of the opportunities presented by AI and emerging technologies.
