Final Year Readiness Talk Series-From Classroom to Career
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a session under the Final Year Readiness Talk Series titled “From Classroom to Career – Insights from Final Year EEE Students.” The initiative aimed to help pre-final year students prepare for their professional journey through peer-driven guidance.
Final-year student G. R. Yashwanth shared real-life experiences, challenges, and strategies related to placements, internships, and higher studies. He emphasised the importance of building a strong and impactful resume that highlights academic achievements, technical skills, internships, and projects.
The session stressed continuous upskilling through certifications, workshops, and self-learning to stay competitive. Students were encouraged to take meaningful academic and personal projects that demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. The talk highlighted the role of strong fundamentals in core subjects for excelling in technical interviews and long-term career growth.
Regular coding practice using platforms like Codetantra was recommended to improve logical thinking and placement performance. Yashwanth also advised students to stay open to various job opportunities rather than waiting for the perfect role.
The session concluded by motivating students to stay consistent, embrace learning, and confidently shape their transition from classroom to career.
