The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru is actively involved in promoting the activities of the IEEE SMC NHCE Student Branch Chapter [Geo Code: SBC66131K].
Objectives
The IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society (SMC) is a leading provider of the latest technological developments in systems science, human–machine systems, and cybernetics. The society contributes to the formation of key industry standards and promotes continuing education for society members, industry professionals, and the general public. The Society continually updates its program of technical activities to meet the needs of modern industry.
The IEEE SMC NHCE Student Branch Chapter is dedicated to serving the interests of its members and the community at large by promoting the theory, practice, and interdisciplinary aspects of systems science and engineering, human-machine systems, and cybernetics. This is accomplished through conferences, publications, workshops, and technical activities that contribute to the professional development of its members.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning envisages the following activities as immediate goals:
- Initiate industrial lecture talks
- Invite professors of excellence for sharing experiences and research results
- Organize industrial visits to companies in close vicinity
- Conduct brainstorming sessions on “Entrepreneurship and Academia”
- Organize workshops, symposiums, and project design contests for students
- Promote the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electro and information technologies for the benefit of humanity and the profession
