CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Industrial Visit (Section B) to Rakon India Pvt. Ltd.
The 6th semester B.E. (Section B) students visited Rakon India Pvt. Ltd. on 05th March 2026. The visit was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with the IEEE DEIS Student Branch Chapter.
Students were introduced to Rakon’s global presence and its expertise in high-precision frequency control solutions. Engineers provided an overview of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of crystal oscillators, quartz crystals, and timing modules. The team guided students through the crystal fabrication unit, where they observed quartz processing techniques used to achieve accurate frequency generation.
In the assembly section, students gained insight into the integration of oscillators, resonators, and timing modules. The testing and calibration laboratories demonstrated procedures for evaluating frequency stability and assessing temperature-based reliability. Industry experts also highlighted the significance of precision and adherence to cleanroom standards in electronic manufacturing.
Additionally, students were introduced to advanced quality assurance practices and industrial validation procedures. The visit provided valuable exposure to aerospace-grade electronic components and their applications.
Overall, the industrial interaction helped bridge theoretical concepts with real-world engineering practices. It significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of microelectronics, automation, and high-reliability electronic systems.
