The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in collaboration with the New Horizon Council for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (NHCIIE), organized a guest talk on “Innovation and Design Thinking” on 10th October 2025 at Tejas Seminar Hall. The session aimed to inspire creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students and faculty.

The distinguished speaker emphasized the principles of innovation and the structured process of design thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Real-world examples such as smart helmets and wearable anti-fall airbag vests demonstrated how innovative ideas can be transformed into practical, value-driven solutions.

Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants gained a deeper understanding of user-centered design and how innovation can address real-world challenges. The session encouraged students to think creatively, develop empathy-driven solutions, and adopt a systematic approach to innovation.

Overall, the event successfully fostered an entrepreneurial mindset, motivating participants to integrate creativity, experimentation, and collaboration in their engineering pursuits.
